Well, tonight is my first official blog post! I'm excited, yet a bit overwhelmed with the process. I've been on for about an hour now just looking at all the settings and making sure our info isn't available to the entire world. I may need some help! Anyway, my plan is to keep up with family updates here and gradually leave Facebook which I have been thinking of doing now for a while. I am torn because I like getting updates on family and friends, and it's been really nice reconnecting with people there. But, I think my Facebook phase is done...it lasted about a year.
I'm going to see how this post works and if I can figure out how to let people know our blog is now here. Thanks for reading! I'll be writing more soon...
You wouldn't even know you're not a professional blogger, girlfriend. Very well done and LOVE the pictures! Cannot wait until we have a family reunion so all the cousins, 2nd cousins, etc etc can meet each other and play. What a wonderful Charlie Brown idea. How you don't mind if we copy you! Love and hugs to you all!
ReplyDeleteSo I'm pondering doing facebook one hour for one day a week, maybe something like "Facebook Friday"...that way I can still stay in touch but it won't keep me enslaved to the computer all week. I'm going to pray about it...pray with me! I for sure feel like it was becoming an idol for me (and feel like God was telling me that, too), and that is was taking up my day's thoughts. And I'm not missing it as much as I was the first few days. But I'm wondering if I can still use it as a tool, but in a much limited fashion. Let me know your thoughts!
ReplyDeletePS: love the background color you picked. I want to make mine a bit fancier "someday"...some of my friends even have worship music that plays in the background when you read their blog! But for now I have to keep it simple b/c I don't have the extra time or know-how. You are off to a great start here on the Markert blog!
